Sales Development Representative

FifthBoston is looking for a Sales Development Representative to build pipeline for FifthBoston Helm and the broader portfolio of FifthBoston services. You will identify and qualify prospective clients, run outbound outreach, and hand well-qualified opportunities to the account team. This is a great role for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn how technology and marketing work together to grow a business.
What you will do
- Conduct outbound prospecting across email, phone, social, and partner referrals to identify and qualify small business and growth-stage company prospects for Helm and FifthBoston Services
- Research and prioritize target accounts based on fit criteria, using tools and public signals to understand a prospect's current situation before reaching out
- Write and execute personalized outreach sequences that clearly communicate the FifthBoston value proposition for each prospect's specific context
- Qualify inbound leads from the FifthBoston website, partner channels, and campaigns by understanding the prospect's needs, timeline, and decision process
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all outreach activity and prospect status inside the Helm CRM
- Collaborate with the marketing and customer success teams to align outreach timing with campaigns, content, and account signals
What we are looking for
- 1 or more years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role, or a strong demonstrated interest in building a sales career
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain a product's value in plain language
- Organized and disciplined approach to outreach with the ability to manage a high volume of activities without losing quality or follow-through
- Coachable, curious, and motivated by outcomes rather than just activity metrics
- Comfortable with technology tools and able to learn new platforms quickly, including CRM and outreach software
